Saginaw County Interceptor Sewer
Kochville Township, Michigan
The Kochville Township Board determined that it was necessary for the public health, safety, and welfare of Kochville Township to construct improvements to the sewage disposal system consisting of approximately 6,400 lineal feet of 24" diameter sanitary sewer providing gravity flow from North Michigan south from Kochville Road approximately 1/2 mile then east approximately 1/2 mile to the sewage pumping station on Venoy Road, Section 36, T13N-R4E, Kochville Township, Saginaw County, Michigan.
Kochville Township and Saginaw County contracted with Axiom Consulting Services LLC (ACS) to provide engineering design and support for the interceptor sewer. ACS has provided engineering services from project concept through design, funding and construction. Services provided include:
- Project Planning
- Civil Engineering Design and Drafting
- Data Collection (topographical surveying services)
- Preparation of Technical Specifications and Contract Documents
- Project Management
- Construction Engineering and Oversight
This infrastructure project will help implement Kochville Township Master Plan recommendations and encourage extended development within designated Industrial, Commercial, and Residential areas of Kochville Township.
The interceptor sewer will immediately eliminate 2 existing sanitary lift stations and has the potential to eliminate 2 additional sanitary sewer lift stations. The elimination of these lift station will reduce Kochville Township's energy cost and eliminate the dependence on hydrocarbon ran emergency generators.
